Hola Flashers! Welcome back to another exciting week here on FYS! We got some great new shorts for you to check out this week, but first I wanted to talk about a new side project for the site.
For all of you San Diego/Orange County Filmmakers out there, I wanted to inform you about my new meetup.com group Flash Your Shorts. This group is dedicated to the idea of going out and creating short films. This website has inspired me to take it one step further and give back to the community. Every other month we will shoot a 5 minute short film, and then we will all get together and watch it.
My reasoning for creating the group is that I wanted to see something like this happen for so long in my area. Too many times are we eager to talk, but not to finish. This group is designed to inspire and motivate filmmakers to keep creating. I hope that all of you who don't live in the Southern California region can do the same thing in your own area. And if you do, please let me know and I'll put a link up on the site.
