FYS - August 3rd 2009

Hey Flashers! Welcome back to another exciting week here at Flash Your Shorts!

During the course of the last week, I was able to work with Craig Wilson from The Mental Eclectic (http://www.mentaleclectic.com) and set up a permanent meet day for the FYS Meet Up group. We will be meeting on the last Tuesday of every month. This month we are meeting on August 25th at 7:00pm. Be sure to check out the website for more information.

I also have been mailing out the beginnings of the Filmmaker Q&A section of FYS. Several of you have responded, and I'm working my way through your submissions now. If you'd like to take part in this new feature, please email me and let me know.

As a way of making money to help build and promote the site, I have designed a new card game called Monsters VS. Monsters. I am in the process of raising funds to launch the game. Any donation of $10 dollars will receive a copy of the game when it is released in the next month or so. Please follow the link to get more information. I have until the 23rd of this month to raise the money, so please donate. All of the proceeds will go to making FYS a greater resource on the web for Filmmakers!

And finally, if you have any short films, webseries, music videos, documentaries, or experimental films that you've made and want to feature on the site...or if you have any questions, please email me at flashyourshorts@gmail.com.
